USS Kittiwake is 76 meters long and has 5 decks, which makes is a place worth visiting. Upon its sinking, the wreck became the most recent artificial coral reef in the Caribbean Sea. After 7 long years of preparation, USS Kittiwake, an old submarine rescue vessel, lay on the seabed off Seven Mile Beach near the Grand Cayman Island. Luckily to the divers, the ship was sunk perfectly on the keel, which makes the diving navigation quite easy.
A perfect ship for beginner divers. Purposefully sunk off Seven Mile Beach in the Caymans in 2011, a 76-meter-long "Kittywake" was prepared to be an underwater attraction. All dangerous elements, including doors and bulkheads had been removed so that each room could have at least one exit.
Experienced divers may explore all decks available. The deepest place is the wheelhouse. You can still see the steering wheel and compasses there. An underwater trip must-see are also decompression chambers and a rescue diving bell.
